An American woman living in the UK has revealed all the 'weird' things about British life - including 'toxic men' and 'lots of goths'.
Burkleigh, who moved to the UK from Texas to study Marine Biology, often posts on TikTok under the handle @iloveolives2002, and has racked up more than 350,000 views on a clip where she lists all of the quirks she's picked up on.
The university student told her followers: 'Okay, so I've been living in the UK for like three years now and I feel like one of the main differences that people always talk about between the states and the UK is the weather or the food.
'But, there are a lot of really weird social abnormalities or at least differences, between the UK and Texas, that I just didn't expect.'
The first thing Burkleigh noticed is that there are more alternative, or 'goth' people in the UK.
An American woman who relocated to the UK from Texas has revealed all of the 'weird abnormalities' she's noticed about Britain since making the move across the pond
She explained: 'For starters, there's a bunch of goths and yes, there are goths in the states or at least in Texas, but like - they travel in packs, in groups of three.
'There's a goth-themed Christmas market, there are goth-themed club nights.
'They're the nicest people you've ever met but it's like, there's a large community and they're very loved and very appreciated.'
Secondly, she confirmed the longstanding stereotype that British people can drink a lot, starting from a younger age.
The TikToker said: 'Another thing is, if you consider yourself to be like, the heavyweight of your friend group or you're someone who started drinking young.
'I would say the youngest that most American people start drinking is like 15 or 16 and it's illegally at a house part where an older friend was able to bring White Claws.
'If you had that experience, you probably started off really well - a lot of people don't even get to drink until they're like 18 or 21 when it's legal.
US native Burkleigh, who posts on TikTok under the handle @iloveolives2002, has racked up more than 350,000 views on a clip where she lists all of the quirks she's picked up on
'Don't drink with British people. They pick up the bottle at 12 and they never put it back down.'
Continuing with her list, she revealed: 'And this might just be Europe in general but I think that it stands out so much more with British people, just because of their humour and their willingness to say whatever.
'There's an abrasive kind of tough love feeling that I get from my British friends, but they literally think that Americans are the dumbest people on Earth.'
Laughing, she adds: 'Genuinely, literally, they spend all of their time laughing at our politics, laughing at our culture, laughing at our media, at our celebrities that do stupid s***.
'And it's like, we are not aware because we are kind of ignorant.
'The only thing that we care about when it comes to British people are their accents, so we don't know just how much the rest of the world finds us stupid and we don't care.
'Maybe that's a problem that we should work on. But, I don't know, I definitely noticed it.'
Brits rushed to the comments to debate whether Burkleigh's opinions were right - with some agreeing, and others questioning if they're living in the same UK
Moving on to drugs, Burkleigh claims: 'Again, this is only comparable to my experience in Texas so it might be the same in Miami or LA, but the drug culture is crazy in the UK.
'The amount of horse tranquilliser that these people shove up their nose is enough to put down a literal horse.

'I didn't even know that was a drug that people did recreationally and I think it's really only big in the UK.'
She questions, 'Let me know, I don't think it's big in any state in the US.'
Next, she tells her fellow Americans that Britons walk everywhere - no matter what time of day.
She told viewers: 'I think people know that in Europe, walking is a really big thing and in the US it's just not as easy because of infastructure and highways and the focus that we put on cars.
'But I don't think you know just how willing British people are to walk, despite having very good public transportation - or at least better public transportation than in Texas.
'It is not uncommon for a friend to walk an hour home on a night out just because they don't want to spend the money on a taxi - an hour home, drunk at night, crazy.'
Finally, the American compares her experiences of dating men in the UK to those back home in the US - with American men coming out on top for her.
'The average 20-year-old British male will have a body count of 22,' she boldly claims.
'They are worse than the frat boy who just broke your heart, I promise. I don't know what they put in the water to make these men grow up the way they are but some of them are animals.'
The student admits: 'I'm sure that they grow out of it and also that's probably a stereotype a little bit, but I don't know man. From what I've seen - crazy.'
Brits rushed to the comments to debate whether Burkleigh's opinions were right - with some agreeing, and others questioning if they're living in the same UK.
One user penned: 'I must be living in another UK in the multiverse,' with a second asking: 'Are we in the same UK?'
Referring to the American's claim that Britons walk everywhere, a third viewer wrote: 'One hour is not that long though? It takes me like an hour to walk to school.'
Another agreed: 'The drunk walk home is iconic. Walk home in the cold for an hour, eating your cheesy chips, drinking a bottle of Fanta. You're basically sober when you're home and your hangover is less lethal.'
Someone else chimed in with: 'Drunk running home was the one. Sometimes a bus was going to be 15-20 minutes, so we would run a good 3-4 miles until the bus caught up.'
Meanwhile, another joked: 'It's not that we don't want to pay for a taxi, it's just that we spent all our money on booze and horse tranquilliser so now we're broke and have to walk home.'
Agreeing with the TikToker's comments about British men, one woman from the UK quipped: 'Nope, they do not grow out of it at all. British girly here dating a Texas man and I can't stand British men.'
Someone else pointed out: 'As a goth who doesn't live in Brighton, the goth and alternative thing is UNIQUE to there.'
One viewer reminisced: 'British kids' first drink is about 13-14 in a field with your mates and a bottle of Glenn's (cheap vodka) best nights ever. Chuck a speaker in and you've got a party.'
Agreeing, another Brit admitted: 'We start drinking at 13 and 14 and are done by 21.'
